friend and agent in that business was perfectly satisfied with what was done. All this I throw out as materials for your consideration, and that we may be prepared to talk the matter fully over the next time I have the pleasure of seeing you; in the mean time the business will not suffer any delay, as I have allready [already] told you that the Admiralty will advance the money without waiting to know who is to repay it.

You may be assured that Mr Stephens is thoroughly hearty in the cause, and that as things now stand he can remove any small difficulties that may hereafter occur: he tells me he has got together Messrs King Dalrymple & Roberts and that they are in perfect good humour and going on with the business of the general map with great alacrity in one
