Ye care not a groat for the Pope
Nor for any of Boneys connexions,
Why then case the end of a rope
for Papists or Catholic questions.

A Shire should send Knights of respect
Knights girded with Sword & with Rapier
& not like a Borough, elect
A dealer & Chapman in paper.

Should the Banker your Suffrages ask
& tell you his talk will do wonders
Tell him, hees [he's] quite unfit for the task
As you know from his manyfold blunders.

Ask if, by his Worships commands
While he fancied himself a great Lawyer
his men cut his neighbors fat Lands
& if since he's discoverd a flaw sir.

Ask if he employd an Attorney
The swan pool & Boultham to drain
& if Sirs, which ere may ye turn ye
The whole does a goose pool remain.

Ask if his wise worship was tried
At the sessions at Michaelmas last
& if it has ere been denied
that on all points his worship was cast.
