think, that the native inhabitants would present the sole opposition, with which she would have to contend.

Thus much it was thought necessary to state, concerning the reassumption of the term Terra Australis, as a generic name for the countries visited in this voyage;  and to explain the reason for drawing the line of separation between the two great divisions, at the 135th degree of longitude. We shall now &c  &c -
