dearly loved, as well as cruel to a degree to have left a young Colony to perish without such a protector and adviser, in all their operations both with respect to the tilling and cultivating the ground, as well as in their private and domestic Concerns. -

     Considering that a Small Colony well organized is now settled upon this Island;  that may hereafter supply Ships trading across these Seas, or driven by distress in Search of provisions, our having touched at this place may be of infinite advantage to future Navigators
