     The Island has only been visited by one Ship; since their Settlement on it, an American Ship, called the Topaz of Boston, Mayhew Folger Master; this took place on the 6th of February 1808, and is noted in Adams' Journal. -  The master landed and procured all manners of refreshments the Island afforded, such as Hogs, Goats,
