When Cap. Bligh came here he was not very well but he seemed entirely recovered before he left this & was in great spirits, we took the best care of him we could & had ground prepared for the reception of the Trees, Ground that the Botanist on examination considered as the best on the Island for the purpose of moving the Bred Fruit Tree & further we had no sooner planted them than some mild & refreshing showers fell most Providentially in favour of their taking Root --

All this I am convinced will be pleasing to a heart like yours generously interested for the general Wellfare of Mankind --
