Sir,

I have the pleasure to inform you that Cap. Bligh in the Providence with the Assistance in Company arrived here safe a few days agoe  & sailed last Night having deposited some Bread Fruit Trees &c here as he was directed & taken away in Return such Trees or Plants from the Island as the Botanist chose to cull for the purposes of Ornament or Utility -- The enclosed papers will serve to shew our sense of the obligations
