One of the Sealers has returned here just as I was closing this letter --- He has been in Bass Strait & based at King's Island ten weeks sealing & oyling [oiling] & obliging he brings us the disagreeable news of a great quantity of the Remains of a Wreck has been found on the West Side of that Island, of which there can be little doubt, of its being a ship from England or America as the wreck does not appear to have been more than 3 or 4 months about the Water --- I have sent the particulars that have come to my knowledge to the Admiralty & Sect of State ---
