The late reduction of a company of the New South Wales Corps & the offer of their being settlers has enabled me to begin Settling in the Nepean & descending the Hawksbury, the form of both these Rivers as far as we go on Settling them are totally different from what the existing charts make them, & as we have greatly explored all the Space between the Hawksbury Road & the Nepean as well as several other situations the prejudice that was so early made & persisted in [indecipherable], is now done away, respecting the Country not being watered, as I do not suppose there is a Country in the World better watered for Agricultural & grazing purposes - From the late excursions in the Mountains of which you received the Chart & Journal from Mr Barrallier it appears there are among them at a considerable distance some Plains of small Extent, with rapid Streams of water running through them to the North Still [indecipherable] is the River they empty themselves into?
