defence of the Country, while He will have nothing to do with the internal arrangement of the Corps.

His Excellency, however, to shew still further His desire for good-will to subsist in the New South Wales Corps, having stated wherein He conceives a misunderstanding may lie, and waving all Power and Authority in Him rested, does recommend to you, Sir, to order Captain Kemp to do his duty here conformable to his Rank, and to express His hopes that He may hear no more on a circumstance which a regard for one another at this remote Station will bury in Oblivion.
