At 10 oclock we pulled out from the Wharf & it was imiadetially filled with wating friends who cried & chered as we went out in the stream At 12.30 PM we left the bouy on the start proper for the great adventure – What will it bring forth Why think about it the future will tell No arrangements had been made to feed us so that when dinner came on about 2 PM the men mostly had a full meal & as there was a fair see running sickness held full swing sway and many a good soldier cared not
