The old stone buildings Quiet Stock just as it is in the picture books or Landscape Targets The Mayross of Exeter gave us a bottle of tea & a bun about 3 PM it was very acceptable as only a few luckie ones had been able to get a 4d pie at Portsmouth Landed at Denton about 7 & marched to camp between 2 & 3 miles & up a long steep hill to finish off. By now it was quite dark & after messing around a bit had tea consisting of 2 slices of Bread each margarine & Blancmange & Tea We only had our mess tins & clasp knives so the Blancmange was very hard to handle
