the water, & just baby wavelets. We are not allowed bellow in the day time now except for meals. It would be more dangerous if we were torpeoded

Monday 20th
In spite of all the talk we got 8/- today I payed the Mess Orderlies in full 7/- & 1/- for 2 copies of the Beltana Bugle just cut it out. They say a Cruser passed early this morning & a steam boat passed a long way off this evening. Sports on deck. The sea is calmer than today than I thought possible
