It was hard to see more than 50 yards, the fog certainly was in our favour.</p><p>A squadron of Queenslanders hopped up from behind a hill & reported not much doing. We were then at a stand still for some time, I can not say what was going on during that time.</p><p>All of a sudden I heard a pop shot then another one & then a burst of machine gun fire & on she went. An officer came over the hill with Bedouin</p>
