2---- In what places the the Shores are remarkably high and bold, and the Sea very deep:-- and in what parts, on the contrary, the Shores are low, and the Sea gradually increasing in depth.

3---- In what directions the Strata appear to lie, on the several Shores.

4---- What Shell=fish are characteristick​ of particular Climates; or more particularly of very hot Countries. -- There are many which are found in all Latitudes, and in all Temperatures; but there are some which are peculiar to contain Seas, and certain degrees of heat and cold, and to be found no where but in particular Climates. --

5---- What kinds of Coral are peculiar to particular Shores.

6-----What extraneous Fossils are found in different Countries. -- Tho' this, I fear, is an observation Enquiry there will be but little opportunity of making. --

I have ever observed, Sir, in reading the accounts of various Voyages and Travels, that, to a philosophical and inquisitive mind, those minute facts of Natural History, which appear dry and uninteresting to the generality of Readers, and which often do not appear to have any immediate connexion with the
