Considering the four men of science as gunroom officers, and allowing the gardener and miner £10 pr. annum each, the sum of £1242 will run three years and somewhat more than nine months, at the proportions established by custom in the East Indies.  The respective sums will be as follows

Commander - £150 x 3 = 450 + 114.10 =  £564:s10

Men of Science - 80 x 3 = 240 + 61.2  = 301: 2

Gunroom - 80 x 3 = 240 + 61.2  = 301: 2

Gardener and Miner - 20 x 3 = 60 + 15: 6  =  75: 6
