Death of Bro. Thomas Blundell

One of the old business identities of Sydney passed away at Manly on 26th September.  This was Bro. Thomas Blundell, for many years a Club member, for a long time associated with the "Abbey" boot shops of the City.  He was an enthusiastic bowler to the last, being a member of the Manly Club.  Upwards of a quarter of a century ago, when Mr. William McLeod was the leading light in the New South Wales bowling world, the deceased was his indispensable No. 1 in interstate teams, and he was a member of the first bowling team that toured Great Britain, under Mr. John Young, and brought back the laurels to New South Wales.  Bro. Blundell last year celebrated the fiftieth anniversay of his wedding.  He leaves a widow and two sons and two daughters, all of whom are married and resident in this State.
