Pa.50.  It is represented as if Capt. Cook had quitted the coast of Uliatea & returned to it again but he never left it.  The [indecipherable] Navigation there aluded to was along its Shores.

P.68. "While the Ship was in Hicks's Bay" &c The Ship never was in Hicks's Bay. [ed.note.Hick's Bay at the northern tip of New Zealand]

P.71  The Note is incorrect.  The Lat. at noon was 36º. 48'. 28" Sº.  The Lat. observed by the Astron. Quadrant  the day before was 36. 47. 43 Sº.  The mean of these two is 36º, 48'. 5"½ Sº.  the lat. of the place of Observation.

P.91  "The Vessell began to heave ". & They began to heave.  Meaning at the Anchor.

P.97 "He traversed the eastern coast from latit. 34º. 43', and entered Cooks Straits".  It should be "he entered Cook's Straits & travelled the western coast from there on to Lat. 34º. 43' Sº.

P.113.  Note on Cape Capricorn read Longitude instead of Latitude.  Or perhaps it should be Latitude, and the numbers are wrong.

P.125.  For little Bower read small B. and for erected read swayed up.  Erected not agreeing with Fore-Yard.
