that all serious cases – and many many mild cases are sent back to the Advanced Base and all pass through this Clearing Hospital even the New Zealanders; & that I will gladly do anything in my power for their friends. Armstrong sent me a cable the other day about Gerald Colcott, and I have spent some days trying to find out about him. Since we came here I could not turn up any of those whose addresses I had, as when I landed I had to leave every possible thing I could behind at Mudros. Consequently I had to leave my pocketbook with all addresses in it and trusted to people looking me up. Most of them have done so; but Armstrong's people, Mrs. Hudsons brother hasn't & I haven't been able to get at the pocket book yet. I went to Colcott's Battalion and to Brigade H.Q.[Headquarters] and nothing has been seen of him since the day of landing, April 25th. I
