besides the Pistreen which is Calld in Spain the Peseta there is current in that Country the half & Quarter Peseta & these are besides several Copper Coins of various value's if the half peseta can be Obtaind in Gibraltar its value is 1 1/5 Gibraltar Reals this then with the Quertillo which is ¾ of Real will be so near the sum wanted for Daily Pay as to be easily made up by the smallest Spanish Copper Coin that Can be procurd

if this expedient proves impracticable or is not satisfactory to the Garrison there Seems to be no Objection to British Copper Coin being sent out to make up the difference between the peice of 1½ Reals & the Soldier Pay which will be 12¼ English Rating the Two Reals at 9 pence
