The Humble Petition of Lucy Baker

Sheweth

That your Petitioner is in the greatest distress having lost her sight of her left eye and in a very bad of health.  That, the Parish your Petitioner belong has no support from, having nothing to support her with but what little she receives from her Daughter Lucy Parkins.  That she is in a deep decline continually throwing the Phlegm from her That your Petitioner has been one of the Inpatients of the Infermery and is quiet [quite] incurable.  That your Petitioner was a Charewoman [charwoman] at Mr. Daneals when your Honr was at his House at the Races.  That the Bearer of this Petition is the Daughter of your most Humble Petitioner, most Humbly requesting your Honr Charitable benevolence to Sympathise so distrest [distressed] an Object. And Your Petitioner as in duty bound
