Flinders is considerd as a Prisoner of war & Compelld like the
Rest to answer for each other & submit to a Punishment if
anyone should escape

The People in the Town tell of his Case as a hard one but the
Governor is an arbitrary man & will not listen[?] to their 
Remonstrances

Capt Barcour] who was sent to Trenes by Sir Sydney Smith has been very kind to the English Prisoners at the Isle de Trenes but for him their attentions would have been wretched  he has shown much attention to Flinders & processd his Removal from close Confinement to the Depot of Prisoners of war
