Capt Kent bought the Sheep & he & Capt Waterhouse [?] carried them to NSW on the Supply & the Reliance in March 1797.
- They were bought of [off] the widow Giden 26 in number at £4 a head
- They were originaly sent for or bough[t] by Col Gordon 2 Rams & 4 Ewes from Spain
- Macarthur bought a Ram from Capt Waterhouse for £16 - the sheep were a [indecipherable]
- Capt Kent & Waterhouse Each took 13. Macarthur bought a young Ram & an Ewe from Mr Braithwaite Capt Kents Lieut. Of Capt Kents 13 9 died on the Passage 1 R & 1 E he had the other R & Ewe Mr Brathwaite had
- M Meriden & Mr Cox the paymaster bought all Capt Kents Sheep when he left the Cape Colony
- in Oct 1800 they were all mixd, he doubts whether the [indecipherable] breed Remains in the Colony
- all the original are dead. Cox, Hobby, Mr Kent Marsden & several others have Flocks, no one is Certain how ever M.A. thinks [?] he has the Real original Breed.
- his Father a Mercer & Taylor at Plymouth deceivd the Eldest Lieut he held out as second Captain.
- There has been Considerable mortality of Sheep from a wet Season & want of Shelter, M.C has frequently lost Sheep for want of Shelter Capt Kent alway shelterd his & Found Shelter necessary
- Mr. Marsden has 2000 Sheep
