I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you that during Captain Bligh's absence from the Porpoise you are to direct every thing within the Ship, but that you are to consider yourself under his orders with respect to the course you are to steer and the Ports at which you are to touch.
