In answer to your Letter of to day stating that James Russell a Centinel over John Ashton, both Men belonging to a party of the New South Wales Corps, on board the Fortune Transport & Convict ship, who you have found guilt of uttering words tending to Mutiny has been likewise guilty of suffering him while his Prisoner to get Drunk, having been in the same state himself, and requesting my advice how to proceed with the said James Russell for the good of His Majesty's Service - I therefore in answer to your said Letter refer you to the third Provision after the Articles of War; and recommend confinement to this Man in the way you have proceeded with John Ashton . -
