proceeding directly to the Cape, which otherwise in my opinion it is our bounden Duty to do. 

          It will be proper to warn these Ships of the circumstance of proceeding to the Cape, and of the necessity of their great attention in their issue of Provisions and Water, and filling their empty Casks in going through the Rains;  for according to your Orders the place of Rendezvous until necessity obliges it to be altered is certainly the Cape of Good Hope, and in order to accomplish it I recommend a great pressure of Sail to be carried Night and Day. 

          If I find it necessary to speak with you I will make the necessary Signal so to do;  and make the Signal necessary for the Course to be steered according to the Orders I have received from my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty. -    I am Sir
