My younger Son, who is really a Youth of great Ingenuity & Curiosity, has a great Desire to attend Dr Solander & Mr Banks, on their next Voyage; & is much encouraged in it, by Mr Professor Wheeler, & other Gentlemen his Friends at Oxford; who are well -acquainted wth. his Phylosophical Abilities, & inquisitive Search into the Wonders of the Creation, regarding Plants, Insects, &c. -
I am advised that an Application must be made to The Lords of The Admiralty; in Whose Department it properly lies, to furnish the Prerequisites, & to fix upon proper People for this great Affair; & if You approve the Project
