calculated for the purpose, and that you will supply him with as great a number of Convicts as you possibly can, to assist the native Gardeners now proceeding with Mr. Smith, in laying out the Ground.

3.   I am further directed to desire that you afford Mr. Smith such pecuniary assistance as he may require, for the purpose of facilitating and carrying into effect the object of his present deputation at Prince Wales Island.
