Saturday 26. Sept. 1818

Dear Madam

I think I can not do better than to communicate to your Ladyship the enclosed original letter which I have just received from the Princess Dowager of Orange to prove to you the sense Her Royal Highness entertains of your very kind attention in presenting her with the beautiful Pine dishes.  May I also request your Ladyship to have the goodness to shew [show] the enclosed to Sir Joseph who will observe from it how much HRH is gratified by the arrival of the last kangaroo.  All her Letters to me are full of the expressions of Her gratitude for Sir Joseph's kindness.  With my best respects to Him & to Mrs. Banks I have the honor to remain,
