Mr Lockhead is exceeding desirous of going on this Expedition in any of the following capacities Viz Surgeon, Surgeons Mate, Botanist or Botanists Assistant. I hope his application is not too late; and I can with truth assure you, of his skill, and his sincere resolution, to do Every thing possible for you in the line of Natural History
