Port Jackson New South Wales
13th May, 1803

Dear Sir

I beg to introduce to you Lieut. Michell who commaded the Party of Marines on Board the Glatton, and who was particularly anxious to take charge of the Boxes for you, but Capt. Colnett being so very scrupulous about taking any thing in his Ship, I thought it was better to send them by the Greenwich.  Mr. Michell expressed a wish to return to this Country.  In that event he will be happy to be honoured with your commands.

I am
Dear Sir
Your most Obdt.
Humble Servant
W. Paterson
