Should you have occasion to write to me I shall thank you to direct to the care of "John Burke Esqre "Charlestown,as it is possible I may be about on a visit to some of the other islands -

I omitted to observe that the Magistrate (Mr.  Wm.Burke) to whom Mr Huggins confessed his Murder, is one of those Magistrates whom the Prince Regent ordered  thro' the Earl of Liverpool to be struck off the list, but whom Mr Elliot notwithstanding that order has left upon the list

His Excellency Mr Elliot, came up here from St. Kitts on the [indecipherable] Thursday (5th Novr.) & after making some enquiries returned to [indecipherable] upon the following evening. I therefore concluded he will [indecipherable] of the most horrible murder to His Majesty's Ministers. Mr [indecipherable] has fled (since his bail) as it is believed, to St [Bartholomews Island?] [indecipherable]
