My Dear Sir

We have gone tolerably well on today, and Mr. McArthur has been proved to be a very bad character.  He has been obliged to acknowledge his having, principally written Johnston's Dispatch, and also the requisition to Major Johnston to put Governor Bligh under arrest.  The charges of my pulling down Houses and taking away the property of Individuals is all come to nothing, and I think the Court now begin to see into the whole wickedness of the usur-pation.  Mr. Johnston continues to sink, while I flatter myself rising by every day's enquiry, and trust that providence will conduct me through the whole with honor to myself & great satisfaction to you.

I remain
My Dear Sir
Your faithful
humble Servant
Wm Bligh

We attend tomorrow at ten am.
