Dear Sir

I return you my sincere & warmest thanks for the attention you have paid to my papers amidst so much busyness of importance that has required your whole time. - I am perfectly sensible of your friendship throughout the whole of your remarks, which will ever be a lesson to me :-  I set a high value upon them, & every one shall be strictly attended to - Mr. Nicol to whom I shewed  your letter was highly struck wth the force of it, & has begun to read the whole.  In the course of a day or two, he says he will be able to tell me how I am to proceed & more fully to answer Your letter, but could not at this moment inform me - In the mean time I cannot delay
