[port]manteau.  Under these circumstances my Dear Sir, & fearful of the delay & uncertainty of the time they may set me at liberty from attending on them, to see you, I cannot help benefiting of your kind offer, to say, I shall be extremely happy to see you before one o'clock, but should circumstances prevent your putting your kind intentions in execution I will most assuredly wait on you as soon after as I can get from the Admiralty & what they order me to do. 

After I left Mr Marsden I went to Mr Cook, but did not see him, & he sent me word down to call on him on Monday - this disagrees with the desire of the Admiralty, in which, as I cannot presume to be the Umpire I hope they will determine what I am to do
