Dear Sir,

I am extremely happy to hear that I have hopes of seeing you once more at Downing; & that you and yr friends will honor our company with yr philosophic attention.  You need not fear your numbers.  I can provide quarters very well, only if yr [indecipherable] of servants is great you may quarter then at Holywell.

I am glad to hear that science advances with such spirit.  The small part that falls to my share is not neglected.  My explorings go on fast & two of yr staffs views are already well executed.  Be so good as to give my compliments to doctor Solander; & let me beg he would favor me with a description of the [indecipherable] grey
