Sir Stephen Lurkington presents his Compliments to Sir Joseph Banks and acquaints him that he has received a Letter from Captain Bond of the Royal Admiral stating that the Officers of the Customs have refused their permission to the Plants on board that Ship, being landed, unless an Order is obtained from the Commissioners in London for that purpose; Sir Stephen apprizes Sir Joseph of this circumstance that he may take such measures as he thinks proper, in order that Sir Stephen's endeavors for His Majesty's receiving them as early as possible may not be frustrated.
