I postponed writing 'till I saw many of my neighbours and could form some idea of the nature of the Letter, you saw in London.

The Advertisement for the meeting at Lincoln, and the ill-judged Resolutions, attendant on that Advertisement has, I much lament, jarred the Division Lindsey.

In their Subdivision we have never interfered. We cautiously avoided it. I can truly aver that, for near 30 years, public Business of every Kind, has not been carried on with more Disinterestedness, with more attention and with more oeconomy in any Part of this Island, than in the Southern Division of Lindsey: but the onus rests upon such few Shoulders that unless others will come forward
