My dear Sir

I am just now Returnd from Lincolnshire or your letter would have been sooner answered.

As the Investigator is on the Point of Sailing & as she is much Crowded already I Question first whether it will be possible to provide on board her any kind of accommodation such as a Gentleman must necessarily require & next whether Mr. G. if ever so desirous could prepare himself for the Voyage in time under these circumstances I have no hesitation in advising him to give over all thoughts of his Plan on this occasion but I shall be ready on any future occasion when application is made in time to give him Every assistance in my Power.
