Greenwich Feb.17 1801

Sir,

I have received your favor with a letter inclosed for Mr. Crosley from Sheerness, which had been sent to you from his correspondent not knowing his direction.  I have sent it to him at No. 54 North Street, City road.  But I hope you will not be troubled any more in the same way.  Mr. Arnold sent the two watches belonging to the Board yesterday; but Mr. Earnshaws are not yet come.  I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you at the Society next Thursday.  Having received a letter from Mr. Earnshaw, recommendatory of Mr. Burrel; who informs me had waited upon you about his wish of being engaged to go out on the present voyage of discovery.  I now agreable to Mr. Burrel's desire, transmit it to you without further delay.

I am, Sir, your most Obedient Servant

N. Maskelyne
