Easton, Augst. 3rd, 1794.

Dr. Sir

I am extremely sorry, that I am prevented waiting on You, as I very much wished to do, by a nasty low  Fever that the late excessive Heat of the Weather has brought upon Me, & has rendered Me quite unfit, either for a Jury man, or a Companion to the High Sheriff.  I hope You will have a sufficient Number of good & true men without Me.  I trust to your Goodness to make my proper Apologies to the Judges.  I am Dear Sir, with all due Compliments to Lady Banks, your very sincere,

& obedient  Humble Servant

Montague, Cholmeliq
