Sir

Mr Wiles letter & the instrument  came to my hand yesterday & I shall lose no time in demanding from the Treasury the balance due to him for wages which will be about but not quite one hundred Pounds I hope they will be satisfied with the authority I had given in that case I shall not I fear [indecipherable] money as tho I gave in Smiths account & they were approvd on the 12t of decr. I have not yet been paid
