presents his respects to Sir Joseph Banks, and informs him that this morning Mr Corsley by desire of Mr Pond made known to Lieutenant F.  that the question of the assistance and recalculation of the Astronomical observations made in the Investigator's late voyage of discovery in the years 1801 - 2 & 3, as well as the recompence to be given for such as assistance and recalculation, or both, had been left by the Board of Longitude to the decision of Sir Joseph Banks - therefore Lieutenant F, begs leave to inclose him the copies of letters which have passed between Mr Pond, Captn Hurd, and himself on the subject;  and trusting that he shall soon receive from Sir Joseph the decisive answer by which his actions are to be guided on the occasion, in addition to his letter to Mr Pond (No 3) he has only to add that he has in fact been in Town from the middle of Novr. 1810 that he might give his time and assistance in forwarding the objects mentioned in Mr Pond's letter
