however must totally destroy the universality​ of the case, as Mr J. Hunter seemed to determine; a Tenant of mine, an understanding farmer assures me he has had himself one, that calved & seemed not to differ form the ordinary kind.  Sincerely wish I had any thing the least worth communicating to you, but am absolutely destitute of any.  When you have done with the variety of the Chaffinch, if you will be pleased to send it to my bookseller Mr Lewis, Russel Street, Convent-garden​, who constantly sends me a parcel every month, it will arrive safe.

​I read in the Gent's Magazine for last month an account of a new society for natural history only​, which now meets once a month in Mr. Greenwood's rooms Leicester-square, of which some noted members of the Royal are said to be, particularly Dr. J. Hunter & Dr. Fordyce; might I hope the liberty of asking your opinion about it, is it in any way under the patronage of the Royal Society? Pray excuse the freedom I take. 

I lately received an account from an ingenious Apothecary & Accoucheur at Rye in Sussex; of a supposed​ pregnancy of 3 years duration; however that may be, the case & symptoms were so very extraordinary & singular, as I hope may
