he could be received on board; & to know if he could be appointed to any Station. He is as little anxious about emolument as he is much so about going. He would rather go in any Station as not go; yet no doubt some respectable station, were its emolument ever so small is desirable. Such Men whose Enthusiasm carrys them into such pursuits are generally the Men most likely to produce advantages to knowledge. If you can be of service to this young Man in the business, I believe I may venture to say, he will not prove unworthy of your countenancing him.
