Admiralty Office 27th July, 1811.
Sir,
I have received and communicated to my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty your letter of the 26th instant, stating that Mr, Westall has finished, to your satisfaction, two more of the paintings intended for the illustration of Captain Flinders's voyage; and I am commanded by their Lordships to acquaint you that an order is given to the Navy Board for paying to Mr Westall the sum of forty guineas, charged by him, for each of the paintings in question.
Referring to that part of your letter which expressed the wish of Mr Westall to execute one painting, upon a particular subject, of a larger size than those aforementioned, as the more detailed parts could not be
