Dear Sir

I had yesterday some conversation with Dr Beddoes relative to the Paper to which you alluded in your letter.  He informs me from the want of some materials he fears he shall not be able to send the paper time enough to appear in the next volume of the Transactions but that he will do himself the pleasure of writing to you & informing you fully of the circumstances.

The plants you are so good to find us, may come by any coach or waggon that happens by Spring Grove to Oxford.  I would request the favor of your gardiner to see they are well packed with their earth about them in a little box or packet or what he judges best for their scarcity - We have lately received a fine collection of plants from Dr [indecipherable] - and I am in daily expectations of arrivals from Kew & the [indecipherable] that I hope with
