Gorgon Long Beach June 27th 1792

Sir

When in Town I did my Self the honor to wait twice on You but found You were indisposed in the Country, I hope this will find You in a better State of Health.  We Arrived this day here.  The Gardner [gardener] that you ordered from Kew has come round in the Ship from Spithead to this place, and thinks the Sooner the Plants are landed the better;  as I do not mean to quit the Ship, until every thing of such consequence is out of her, I trust You will give the necessary directions for their Speedy disembarkation.  There is on board a Kanguroo [kangaroo], which I believe is consigned to You, and I believe is for their Majesty's but I make no doubt but Governor Philip has advised You of it, to the best of my remembrance he desired it to be committed to Your Care, and which I suppose is necessary to be reported to the Commissioners of the Customs for obtaining leave for it's delivery.

I have the Honor to be
Sir Your Most Obedt & Most
Hble Servant

John Parker
