Dear Sir

The Probability that a Voyage may again be undertaken, to perfect that which lately fail'd from an unfortunate mutiny, to propagate the Bread Fruit, make further Discoveries &c, and that you will again have Pow'r to nominate some of the Officers to be employ'd on that Service, induces me, should that be the Case, to request as a particular Favor, your Interference in favor of a Brother of Miss Trollope's.  Mr. William Trollope has been educated for & brought up in the Navy, has long since (I have been informed) pass'd his Examination for a Commission, but unfortunately his Friends have not been able to obtain such a Situation for him, & he still continues in the inferior Situation of a Midshipman.  I cannot presume to say how he merits Promotion, he appears lively active spirited, & attachd to his profession, has seen as much Service as most young
