The Humble Petition of John Goodjohn who was one of the Coopers on board the Endeavor Bark Capt Cook and has spent all is time on board of Kings Ships and no [now?] hopes to Obtain some small favour as as his Eye sight begins to fail him and now humbly aproches your honer and hopes you will be so kind as to get a watchman Place in the Custom house or any other Place your honer and goodness will be so Kind as to Confer on Your Humble Petitioner and will in Duty be Bound Pray for John Goodjohn
